Ontario is located in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Oregon, adjacent to the Idaho border. It is the county seat of Malheur County and an important hub of commerce in eastern Oregon. Located on the south bank of the Snake River, the city enjoys a semi-arid climate with four distinct seasons, hot, dry summers and cold, snow-free winters. As a major transportation hub, Ontario is located adjacent to Interstate 84 (I-84), which connects Portland to Salt Lake City, providing easy access to transportation and logistics. The economy is dominated by agriculture, manufacturing and retailing, and the surrounding area is rich in crops such as alfalfa, potatoes and onions, forming a specialty industry chain based on irrigated agriculture. With a population of about 11,000, a friendly community atmosphere, and excellent educational and medical resources, it is the core area for eastern residents to live and work. In addition, its proximity to the Malheur National Forest and its abundance of outdoor tourism resources attracts visitors for hiking, hunting and bird watching.
Located in the Marrakech-Safi region of southern Morocco, at the foot of the majestic Atlas Mountains, Ait Bahya is one of the traditional Berber villages. It is famous for its well-preserved adobe complexes, unique kasbahs (fortress-like dwellings) and winding stone alleyways, which perfectly demonstrate the wisdom of the Berbers to live in harmony with nature. The village is surrounded by terraced fields planted with olives, apricots and other crops, and the scenery varies throughout the seasons, making it an ideal place to experience Moroccan countryside life. Although not as well known as the neighboring ancient town of Ait Benhaddou, Ait Baha retains a more primitive atmosphere of life, where visitors can taste the traditional Berber cuisine, listen to ancient songs, and feel the deep heritage of North African culture.
