Nuku'alofa, the capital of the Kingdom of Tonga, is located on the north coast of Tabu Island, Tonga, and is the country's only port city and the center of politics, economy and culture. As an important hub of the Pacific Islands, with a population of about 23,000, it is small in size but carries a thousand years of Tongan history. The city's iconic wooden Palace, built in the 19th century, is still the residence of the royal family, and the adjacent Tonga National Museum showcases the legacy of Polynesian culture. The traditional village atmosphere is preserved, and the Saturday market, with its mix of local crafts and tropical produce, is the perfect place to experience Tongan life. As one of the oldest royal domains in the South Pacific, Nuku'alofa is the starting point for exploring Tonga's unique island charms with its tranquil harbor and deep cultural heritage.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
