The Cayman Islands is a British Overseas Territory located in the northwestern Caribbean Sea and consists of Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. Among them, Grand Cayman's northern region is centered on Seven Mile Beach, north of George Town, which is world-renowned for its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, and is one of the most famous tourist resorts in the Caribbean.
The West Bay area in the northern part of Grand Cayman is the most developed area and is dotted with luxury resorts, high-end restaurants and water sports centers. Known for its calm coral waters and rich marine ecology, the area is particularly well suited for snorkeling and diving activities. The northern end of the area is also home to traditional fishing villages where visitors can experience the local Kamana culture.
As one of the world's leading offshore financial centers, the northern region of the Cayman Islands is home to a large number of international banks and financial institutions. In terms of transportation, Owen Roberts International Airport is located in the center of Grand Cayman, providing quick access to major attractions to the north. There is an excellent network of highways around the island and a car rental is an ideal way to explore the northern coastline.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
