The West Bay area in the northern part of Grand Cayman is the most developed area and is dotted with luxury resorts, high-end restaurants and water sports centers. Known for its calm coral waters and rich marine ecology, the area is particularly well suited for snorkeling and diving activities. The northern end of the area is also home to traditional fishing villages where visitors can experience the local Kamana culture.

There is an excellent network of highways around the island and a car rental is an ideal way to explore the northern coastline.
