North Providence is a town in Providence County, Rhode Island, United States, located in the northeastern part of the state, adjacent to the capital city of Providence. With an area of about 5.8 square miles (15 square kilometers) and a population of about 32,000, it is one of the more densely populated communities in Rhode Island. Founded in 1765, it has a long history and is characterized by a mix of residential and commercial development areas. The economy is dominated by retail, healthcare, and service industries, and it has a convenient transportation network with close proximity to the I-95 and I-295 freeways. The education system is part of the North Providence School District and includes several public schools. Local parks and recreational facilities such as Lincoln Woods State Park provide opportunities for outdoor activities. Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
