Located in the southern part of Hunan Province, China, Ningyuan County belongs to Yongzhou City and is an important historical and cultural city in southern Hunan. It has a total area of 2,526 square kilometers and a population of about 850,000 people. The county is famous for Shun Di culture and Jiuyi Mountain Scenic Spot, which is regarded as "the source of Chinese moral civilization". Jiuyi Mountain is a national 4A-level tourist attraction with natural and humanistic landscapes such as the Shun Emperor's Mausoleum and Zixia Rock. Ningyuan's economy is mainly based on agriculture, producing rice, tobacco and citrus, while actively developing tourism and light industry. The transportation is convenient, with the Erguang Expressway and Xialong Expressway running through the whole territory, connecting to the major cities around. Blending ancient folklore with modern development, Ningyuan is an ideal destination for exploring Hunan culture and eco-tourism.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
