Located on the border of Ontario, Canada and New York State, USA, Niagara Falls consists of the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, and is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in North America. Its stunning flow of water and majesty attracts about 12 million visitors each year.
The maximum drop of the falls is 57 meters across the Niagara River, of which the Horseshoe Falls in Canada is curved, about 670 meters wide, the water volume accounts for 90% of the total flow of the falls. In winter, part of the water flow is frozen to form the ice waterfall landscape is particularly unique, and the waterfall at night under the illumination of colorful lights is more dreamy.
Visitors can take the Maid of the Mist boat ride to experience the roar of the waterfalls up close, or climb the Sky Tower for a 360-degree panoramic view. There are viewing platforms, hiking trails and wine estates around the falls. The famous Clifton Hill neighborhood offers dining and entertainment, and the Falls Festival of Lights is a popular winter event.
As a transnational natural heritage site, Niagara Falls is jointly managed by Canada and the United States, with a nature reserve maintaining the ecosystem. The Rainbow Bridge connects the two countries, allowing visitors to travel between Niagara Falls, Canada, and Niagara Falls, U.S.A., and experience the cultural differences between the two cities.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
