New London is a city in Waupaca County, Waupaca, in east-central Wisconsin, United States. It is situated on the Wolf River, about 30 miles from Green Bay, and has a population of about 7,000. The city is known for its abundance of outdoor activities, including fishing, boating, and hunting, and attracts a large number of visitors especially for the sturgeon in the Wolf River.
New London has a rich history, having been founded in the mid-1800s and once had a lumber industry as its dominant economy. Today, it has retained its small-town flavor while developing manufacturing and retail businesses. Community events such as the Sturgeon Fest are held annually, and educational centers such as the New London Public Museum showcase natural and cultural exhibits. The city's education system is part of the New London School District, which provides public school services and is conveniently located near U.S. Highway 45.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan.
