Malem is a small Belgian town located in West Flanders, near the French border. It is part of the municipality of Ypres and is sparsely populated with a quiet rural landscape and agriculture. The area was historically affected by World War I and is surrounded by many war memorials, such as the Ypres Battlefield, which attracts history buffs. Malham is a beautiful setting for hiking and cycling and experiencing the culture of the Belgian countryside.

With a long history dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, the area is rich in cultural heritage and natural landscapes, such as the Liuhe National Geopark and Lingyan Mountain Scenic Area. Liuha is famous for its specialties such as Longchi Carp and Liuha Pig's Head Meat, and has continued to develop economically as an industrial and agricultural base for Nanjing. Conveniently located adjacent to the main city of Nanjing, it is well connected through a network of subways and highways, making it an important node in the Yangtze River Delta region.
