Uruguay does not have a major city named "Montes", which may be a misspelling of the capital city of Montevideo. Located at the mouth of the Rio de la Plata, Montevideo is the political, economic and cultural center of the country, with a population of about 1.3 million, accounting for nearly one-third of the country's total population. The coastal city has a UNESCO-recognized Historic Old Town, which retains its colonial architecture and harbor atmosphere; the long La Costa Beach is a popular place for recreation, and is known as the "Riviera of South America". As one of the safest cities in South America, Montevideo is a blend of European flavor and local culture, with a strong beef and wine industry that attracts many tourists every year to experience its relaxed pace of life and unique port culture.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
