Khorhor, Djibouti: A Border Town for Trade and Commerce

Khorhor is a border city in the southern part of the Republic of Djibouti, neighboring Ethiopia, strategically located on the west coast of the Gulf of Aden, and is one of the most important commercial transit points in East Africa. The city has a tropical desert climate with high temperatures and little rainfall throughout the year, and its economic activities are based on cross-border trade, logistics and transportation, and small-scale fishing. As a node on the land route connecting the port of Djibouti to inland Ethiopia, Khorhor plays a key role in the regional supply chain, attracting a concentration of traders and logistics companies from neighboring countries.
