Miragoâne is an important city in the department of Ouest, located in the southwestern part of the Caribbean island nation of Haiti, and is the capital and economic center of the department. The city is situated near the Bay of Miraguana, and although it is not on the coast, its proximity to the port has made it a regional trade hub, where neighboring agricultural products such as coffee, cacao, and bananas are distributed.
