Mingshui County is located in the south-central part of Heilongjiang Province and the northern part of Suihua City, situated in the hinterland of Songnen Plain, relying on Hailun City in the east, Anda City in the west, Qinggang County in the south, and Baiquan County in the north, with a total area of 2,308 square kilometers, and a total population of about 350,000 (2023 data). Here is a temperate continental monsoon climate, the average annual temperature of 2.3 ℃, frost-free period of about 120 days, fertile black soil, is a typical agricultural county, one of the country's important commodity grain base, producing corn, soybeans, rice, grain production of more than 1 billion pounds per year, known as the "northern breadbasket" of the name.
