Mingguang City, a county-level city in Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, is located in the northeastern part of Anhui Province, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Huaihe River, neighboring Xuyi and Sihong in Jiangsu Province to the east, Nanqiao District in Chuzhou to the south, Dingyuan and Wuhe to the west, and facing the Huaihe River in the north with Sihong in Jiangsu Province, which is known as "the gateway to the eastern part of Anhui Province".
