Located in the southeastern part of China's Yunnan Province, Mile City is part of the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture and is a tourist city famous for its hot springs, red wine and ethnic culture. The name of the city is derived from the Buddhist word "Maitreya Buddha", which means good fortune and peace.
Mile is blessed with natural conditions, rich geothermal resources and several natural hot spring resorts. As the main production area of grapes on the Yunnan Plateau, there are Dongfengyun Wine Estate and several wineries here, which are known as "Oriental Bordeaux". The city is a blend of Han, Yi, Miao and other ethnic cultures, and organizes annual torchlight festivals and other ethnic celebrations.
The main attractions include the Huquan Ecological Park, Jinping Mountain Scenic Area (with the 19.99-meter-high Maitreya Buddha), Keyi Yi Village and Taiping Lake Forest Town. The modern art complex "Dongfengyun" has become a Netflix hit with its red brick sculptures. It is about 140 kilometers away from Kunming, with convenient transportation, and is an important node of the Southeast Yunnan Tourism Loop.
Deva is the capital of Hunedoara County in western Romania, located on the banks of the river Mureş, with a population of about 60,000 people. Dva has a long history, first recorded in 1269, and was once a fortress of the Kingdom of Hungary. The city retains medieval buildings such as the castle and the Church of the Holy Cross.
