Located in the western part of China's Yunnan Province, Maidu County is a county-level administrative region under the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, which is situated on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and is famous for its beautiful natural scenery and rich ethnic culture. The region has a subtropical monsoon climate with four seasons of spring and an average annual temperature of about 15°C, making it suitable for tourism and residence.
Maidu is the birthplace of the Yunnan folk song "Maidu Mountain Song", and has a deep cultural tradition of the Bai and Yi ethnic groups, with rich and colorful local traditional festivals and folk activities. Its history can be traced back to the ancient Southern Silk Road, where it was once an important post station, leaving behind many historical relics.
The economy is based on agriculture, with an abundance of tobacco, tea and fruits. In recent years, eco-tourism and cultural heritage tourism have developed rapidly. Popular attractions include the Tiansheng Bridge, Dongshan Forest Park and Mizhi Ancient Town, which draws visitors to experience the beauty of nature and humanity.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
