Mengzi, located in the southeastern part of Yunnan Province, the capital of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, is the central city of South Yunnan and an important gateway to ASEAN. This border town has a long history, since 1908 since the opening of the commercial port, was the center of modern commerce, finance and transportation in Yunnan, the Southwest Associated Universities College of Arts and Law and Business School has been run here, leaving a deep humanistic heritage. Mengzi is famous for its "Bridge Rice Noodle", a non-heritage food that carries a unique food culture and has become a cultural symbol of the city.
