Mengyin County is part of Linyi City, Shandong Province, China, located in the south-central part of Shandong Province in the hinterland of the Yimeng Mountainous Region. It has a total area of about 1,605 square kilometers and a population of about 500,000 people. It is the famous "Peach Hometown" in China, and its specialty, the peaches of Mengyin, are famous for their large size, sweet flavor and juiciness.
With a long history, Mengyin is an important part of the old revolutionary area of Yimeng. The famous Battle of Mengliangmu took place here, and now there is a Memorial Hall of the Battle of Mengliangmu and a Martyrs' Mausoleum, which has become an important base for red tourism and patriotism education. The local traditional culture is rich, and Yimeng Mountain ditties and other folk arts are unique.
The economy of Mengyin is based on agriculture, with peach cultivation being the pillar industry, while tourism and ecological agriculture are being developed. There are natural landscapes such as the Dai mesa landform and Yunmeng Lake, as well as humanistic attractions such as Zhongshan Temple and Liu Hong Cultural Park. In recent years, Mengyin has been actively promoting rural revitalization and eco-tourism, creating a tourism brand of "mesa world, paradise".
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
