Méjazbab (Mégrine Cité) is a coastal city in the Republic of Tunisia, located about 12 kilometers south of the capital city of Tunis, and is part of the Tunis Governorate. The city is situated on the Mediterranean coast and enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with four distinct seasons.
Located on the southern coast of the Gulf of Tunis, Mejazbab is one of the most important satellite towns of the city of Tunis. According to the latest data, the city has a population of about 60,000, mainly Arabs, speaking Arabic and French. Its favorable geographic location makes it an important part of the Tunisian metropolitan area.
The city's economy is characterized by light industry and services, with a number of textile and food processing companies.
