McLouth is a quiet town in Jefferson County, Kansas, United States, located about 30 miles northwest of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Founded in the late 19th century and named after early settler John McLouth, the town's history is closely tied to agriculture and railroad development.
Located in the hills of northeastern Kansas, McLouth, with a population of about 900, is a small community typical of the American Midwest.
