McCracken is a small city in Rush County, Kansas, United States, located in the north-central region of the state. With a population of about 150 according to the 2020 Census, it is a typical rural Midwestern American community.
McCracken is located along Kansas Highway 83, about 15 miles from Lakota, the county seat of Rush County. The city was founded in the 1880s and sprang up with the extension of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, taking its name from early railroad officials. The area is characterized by flat prairie terrain and an agricultural economy.
