McComb is located in south-central Mississippi, USA, one of the county seats of Perle River County, about 110 kilometers south from the state capital of Jackson. This small city of about 12,000 residents has a railroad history and manufacturing industry as the backbone of its economy, which developed in its early days as a hub of the Mississippi Central Railroad, and has more active local industries such as woodworking and auto parts manufacturing. McComb has a strong educational atmosphere, with Pearl River Community College providing educational resources for the surrounding area, while retaining a number of 20th century historic buildings, such as the old train station converted into a cultural center in the downtown area. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock.
