Zigui County is located in the west of China's Hubei Province, belonging to the city of Yichang, located in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River on the banks of the Xiling Gorge, is the hometown of Qu Yuan and the Three Gorges Reservoir District, an important county and city. Zigui is the hometown of the great poet Qu Yuan, and organizes the International Dragon Boat Festival and Qu Yuan Cultural Tourism Festival every year. After the construction of the Three Gorges Dam, Zigui became a key area for resettlement of immigrants in the reservoir area, and the new county town was built along the river with modern facilities.
Well-known attractions include Qu Yuan Temple, Jiuwanxi River, Three Gorges Bamboo Sea, etc. Combined with the Three Gorges Tourist Route, it attracts a large number of tourists. Conveniently accessible via the Hurong Expressway, the Yangtze River waterway and Yichang Three Gorges Airport, it is an important node of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
