Ma Zhang District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China, located in the western part of the city center of Zhanjiang City, bordering Leizhou Bay to the east and Suixi County to the west. With a total area of about 460 square kilometers and a population of about 300,000, the district is predominantly Han Chinese, speaking both Mandarin and Cantonese dialects.
Located in the tropical monsoon climate zone, Ma Zhang District is rich in agricultural resources, producing rice, sugarcane and tropical fruits, and is also one of the industrial bases of Zhanjiang City, encompassing manufacturing, fishing and logistics. The region has convenient transportation, with transportation hubs such as Zhanjiang West Railway Station and a network of high-speed railways and highways connecting to the western part of Guangdong, which promotes economic and trade development.
Mazhang District has a deep cultural heritage, blending the characteristics of the Guangfu culture and the Leizhou Peninsula, and is rich in traditional festivals and folklore activities. In recent years, the district has been actively promoting urbanization and ecological construction, and is committed to creating a sustainable and modern urban area that offers more opportunities for tourists and investors.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
