Mariehamn, the capital and only city of the Finnish Aland Islands, is located in the southern part of Finland on the Baltic Sea and is the political, economic and cultural center of the autonomous region. As the smallest city in Finland, it has a population of about 12,000 and the official language is Swedish. The city is known for its peaceful seaside scenery and unique maritime culture, with many well-preserved wooden buildings, a maritime museum and historical landmarks such as Mariehamn Castle. The economy is based on shipping, tourism and agriculture, and the city attracts a large number of tourists in the summer to enjoy the sun, sand and sea activities, making it an ideal place to experience the slow Nordic life.
Risan, an ancient town on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro in the northern part of the Bay of Kotor, is known as "one of the oldest towns in Montenegro", with a history of more than 2,300 years. Surrounded by mountains and the blue sea, the town was once an important Illyrian settlement and later a thriving port for the Roman Empire, and still retains Roman mosaics, ancient walls and church ruins, including the "Muses of Risan" mosaic, one of the most prized Roman artifacts in the Balkans. Walking through Risan, with its stone-paved streets, colorful traditional houses and the distant sea view of the Bay of Kotor, you can feel the relaxed atmosphere of the Mediterranean Sea, but also travel through time to touch the weight of history, which makes it a must-visit place for exploring the culture and nature of Montenegro.
