As a famous tourist destination in Tunisia, Metematai is not only a window to experience the Berber culture, but also attracts fans from all over the world because of the film and television settings of Star Wars and other movies. Visitors can delve into the cave dwellings for a taste of the raw, rustic atmosphere, or head to the nearby ancient city of Medenin for a breathtaking view of the edge of the Sahara. Hidden in the desert, this "underground city", with its unique human landscape and natural wonders, has become a cultural treasure not to be missed in Tunisia.
