Matadi is an important port city in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), located on the right bank of the lower Congo River, about 148 kilometers away from the Atlantic Ocean, is the country's only deep-water port and the largest sea port. As the "gateway" to the Congo River, Matadi is responsible for about 80% of the DRC's national import and export cargo throughput, especially copper, cobalt and other minerals, the core of the export corridor, the economic status of the important.
