The Commonwealth of Dominica, or Dominica for short, is an island nation located in the Windward Islands of the Caribbean Sea, with Roseau as its capital. The country is known for its pristine natural beauty, rich in rainforests, waterfalls and geothermal hot springs, and is known as the "Nature Island of the Caribbean". Dominica's terrain is mountainous, with the highest peak being Mount Diablotin at 1,447 meters, and the island also has the world's second largest boiling lake. The economy is based on agriculture and tourism, with bananas, citrus and other agricultural products being the main exports. Dominica is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and the official language is English, with Creole also widely spoken. This beautiful island nation attracts visitors from all over the world with its unique ecological landscape and friendly people.
