Masasi

Masasi is an important town and commercial center in the Lindi Region of southeastern Tanzania, about 600 kilometers southwest of the capital city of Dar es Salaam and close to the Mozambique border. As a regional hub, Masasi is known for its vibrant trade in agricultural products, with cashew nuts, cotton, maize and other crops in abundance around the area, and the local market, which brings together villagers and traders from the surrounding area, is the center of economic activity.
