Martinez is a city in Columbia County, Georgia, United States, located in the eastern portion of the Augusta metropolitan area, adjacent to the Savannah River and about 15 minutes from downtown Augusta. As the county seat of Columbia County, the community has a population of approximately 35,000 and is known for its quiet suburban setting, quality school district, and safety index.
