Martinez is a city in Columbia County, Georgia, United States, located in the eastern portion of the Augusta metropolitan area, adjacent to the Savannah River and about 15 minutes from downtown Augusta. As the county seat of Columbia County, the community has a population of approximately 35,000 and is known for its quiet suburban setting, quality school district, and safety index. The economy is based on manufacturing, healthcare and retail, with major employers including Augusta University Health System and Columbia County government. Martinez is home to several parks and outdoor recreational facilities, such as the Savannah River Riverwalk, for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Conveniently located with quick access to Atlanta (approximately 2.5 hours away) and Augusta via Interstate I-20, and with a cost of living below the U.S. average, it is a popular and livable city in Northeast Georgia.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
