The star-shaped streets of the town center are lined with tasting rooms, artisanal cheese shops and specialty restaurants, creating a unique wine tourism experience.
Surrounded by pristine forest trails, olive groves and pastoral landscapes, visitors can take a bike wine tour, hike the Wairarapa coastline or explore the nearby geothermal park. The town's 19th-century colonial buildings, post office square and historic cottages offer the tranquil charm of rural New Zealand.
