Amalousio is a major city in the northern part of the Attica region of Greece, part of the Athens metropolitan area, about 13 kilometers from the center of Athens. As a modern commercial and residential center in the northern suburbs of Athens, the city is known for its dense concentration of corporate headquarters, shopping centers and high-end neighborhoods.
Nestled at the foot of Mount Penteli, bordered by Kifissia to the east and Heraklio to the west, Amalousio has a total area of 12.86 square kilometers. Administratively divided into the neighborhoods of Daphni and Cato Amarucio, it has a permanent population of approximately 70,000, making it one of the most densely populated cities in Attica.
The city has the highest concentration of corporate headquarters in Greece, including multinationals, technology companies and financial centers. The iconic "Golden Square" business district is home to luxury stores and fine restaurants, while the area around Maroussi metro station is a central business hub.
Amalucio retains its neo-classical architecture and traditional churches, as well as a large sports complex and green parks. The annual summer cultural festivals and marathons attract many tourists, and the convenient metro system provides quick access to world heritage sites such as the Acropolis.
Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts. The city is culturally diverse, with Hausa, Tuareg and Kanuri ethnic groups living in the area, and is unique in its crafts such as traditional leather weaving and silversmithing. Despite infrastructural challenges, Diffa remains an important economic and cultural node in the south-east of the Niger, thanks to its strategic location and rich cultural heritage.
