Marken is a historic fishing village in the Dutch province of North Holland, located on the shores of Lake Ijssel near Ijmuiden, and was once a separate island before being connected to the mainland by a dyke. Famous for its well-preserved traditional wooden shoe architecture and fishermen's culture, a stroll through the cobblestone streets is like traveling back to 19th century Holland. The village's colorful wooden houses, windmills and traditional clothing displays attract visitors from all over the world to experience the original Dutch style. Marcken is not only a paradise for photographers, but also an ideal place to experience the slow life of Holland. It is only about 30 minutes away from the capital city of Amsterdam, making it a popular destination for short trips around the city.
Located in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China, Cotai is an area formed by reclaimed land in Coloane and Taipa and is the centerpiece of Macau's world-class entertainment and tourism. It is home to a number of luxury integrated resorts such as The Venetian, The Parisian, Wynn Palace and City of Dreams, offering a diverse range of gaming, shopping, dining and performing arts experiences. Its iconic architecture and illuminated nightscape attracts visitors from around the world, with an annual average of over 10 million visitors, emphasizing Macau's status as an international tourist city.
Economically, Cotai is an important pillar of Macau's gaming industry, contributing a significant portion of local GDP and driving employment and infrastructure development. Conveniently connected to the Macau Peninsula via the Friendship Bridge and the Sai Van Bridge, and with an international airport and marina, it is easy for tourists to visit. In the future, Cotai will continue to develop non-gaming elements, such as MICE and cultural activities, to promote sustainable development.
