Marjayoun is a border town in the Nabatiyeh Governorate in southern Lebanon, located near the Lebanese-Israeli borderline, about 80 kilometers from the capital Beirut. Historically, it was an important strategic location, and some of its historical sites are still visible today, including old churches and Ottoman-era buildings. The local economy is predominantly agricultural, producing grapes, olives, citrus and other crops, with grape cultivation being particularly well known and the grapes produced are used for winemaking and drying. The natural beauty of the area around Markeba, with its fertile plains and rolling hills, is an important agricultural area in southern Lebanon. Despite its location on the border, the local area still maintains the traditional Lebanese rural life atmosphere, the residents are friendly and warm, although the town is small, but carries the historical memory and cultural heritage of the southern region.
Located in the western part of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, Lin'an is a district under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou City, located in the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, with a total area of 3,124 square kilometers. It is famous for its beautiful natural scenery and profound history and culture, and is an important area in the Tianmu Mountain and Qiantang River Basin. Lin'an, known as Lin'anfu in ancient times, was once the temporary capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, and is rich in historical relics, such as the Mausoleum of the King of Qian and Qingshan Lake.
Economically, Lin'an is dominated by eco-tourism, green agriculture and high-tech industries, with specialties such as pecans and bamboo products enjoying a national reputation. Regional transportation is convenient, with the Hangzhou-Huizhou Expressway and a number of railroads running through the area, about 40 kilometers from Hangzhou city center. Lin'an also focuses on environmental protection, with more than 80% forest coverage, making it a national ecological demonstration area that attracts many tourists and investors.
