Maripa is a quiet town in the state of Bolivar, Venezuela, situated on the south bank of the middle Orinoco River, about 120 kilometers from the capital city of Bolivar. The town is known for its typical savannah climate and scenery along the river, surrounded by dense native forests and vast pastures, making it an ideal place to experience Venezuelan rural life. The local economy is based on agriculture, producing bananas, cacao, corn and other crops, while the traditional way of life is sustained by the fishing resources of the Orinoco River. Although small, Maripa retains the cultural characteristics of Venezuela's interior, with friendly residents and simple folk making it a haven from the hustle and bustle of the countryside. Maripa is a worthwhile destination for travelers who want to explore Venezuela's natural and human landscapes.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
