Mariinsky Posad is a small city in the Chuvash Republic of Russia, located on the right bank of the Middle Volga River, about 36 kilometers from the capital, Cheboksary. The city was founded in the 17th century as the village of Svyazhsk and renamed in the 18th century in honor of Maria Alexandrovna, the wife of Tsar Alexander II. As an old settlement on the banks of the Volga River, it has preserved 19th-century wooden buildings, Orthodox churches (such as the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), and traditional craftsmen's workshops, reflecting the cultural landscape of Central Russia. The local economy is based on agriculture, light industry and tourism, and with the beautiful scenery of the Volga River and a unique historical atmosphere, visitors are attracted to explore its quiet streets and museums.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
