Maricá is a seaside city in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, located about 30 kilometers east of the city of Rio de Janeiro, and is known for its stunning beaches, laid-back atmosphere, and abundant natural beauty. With more than 20 kilometers of coastline, including high-quality beaches such as Praia da Concha (Shell Beach) and Praia da Pipa, its crystal-clear waters and fine white sand make it an ideal destination for surfing, snorkeling and sunbathing. Marica is also known for its ecological conservation, and the city's "Marica Wetlands" is an important ecological reserve inhabited by a wide variety of birds and wildlife. The area is a unique blend of traditional Brazilian culture and modern tourist amenities, with seafood restaurants, street music and colorful folklore events. Whether you're looking for a peaceful seaside vacation or to explore Brazil's natural and human charms, Marica is a treasure of a city not to be missed in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
