Maragua is a western border city in Kenya, located in the western part of the Rift Valley Province, close to the Ugandan border, and is an important transportation hub between Kenya and Uganda. As a key node connecting the Rift Valley region of East Africa, the city is connected to Kenya's capital city of Nairobi and Uganda's capital city of Kampala by a network of roads and railroads, and has a vibrant cross-border trade in agricultural products, textiles, and daily necessities.
