The local population still maintains traditional handicrafts and farming practices, and visitors are attracted to the annual "Harvest Festival". Despite its small size, the town enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate, and hikers can explore the surrounding nature trails with views of the snow-capped Andean peaks and a relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
