Mamfe is the capital of the South West Region of Cameroon, located in the Anglophone region of Western Cameroon, near the Nigerian border. The city is situated in the belt of the Mannguba Mountains, at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level, and has a mild and humid climate, with an average annual temperature of 20-25°C. The city is located in the southwestern region of Cameroon. Mamfe has a population of approximately 85,000 (2023 estimate), with the majority of residents being Bamirek and Tikal.
