Malacca is one of the oldest cities in Malaysia, located on the southwestern coast of the Malay Peninsula, east of the Strait of Malacca. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its core attraction is its multicultural fusion. The preservation of the Portuguese-era Santiago Castle, the Dutch Red House Square, and the Chinese temple Ching Wan Pavilion bear witness to centuries of trade and colonial history.
The Malacca River runs through the city, with murals and cafes along the banks creating a laid-back atmosphere. Cockatoo Street is the center of Chinese culture, with a lively weekend night market. The landmark Melaka Revolving Tower offers panoramic views of the city, while the Sea Mosque is famous for its sunset views. The local cuisine is a mix of Malay, Chinese and Nyonya flavors, such as chicken rice and laksa.
Malacca's economy is based on tourism, which attracts a large number of tourists every year to explore its cultural heritage. The city has developed both port trade and manufacturing industries, and the geographical advantage of the Straits of Malacca continues to promote regional economic linkages. Convenient transportation and excellent services make it a popular tourist destination in Southeast Asia.
Jiading District is located in the northwestern part of Shanghai, China, and is one of the five major new cities in Shanghai. As a famous historical and cultural city in the south of the Yangtze River, Jiading was founded in the 10th year of Jiading of the Southern Song Dynasty (1218), with a history of more than 800 years, and is famous for "educating Jiading". It covers an area of 463.55 square kilometers and has a resident population of about 1.7 million.
Jiading District is a perfect blend of traditional and modern elements: the Confucius Temple and Zhouqiao Old Street preserve the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, while the F1 Shanghai International Circuit and the Shanghai Automobile Museum demonstrate its status as an "international automobile city". It is the core base of China's automobile industry, with a concentration of vehicle and parts companies such as SAIC and Azera. Meanwhile, the Jiading Campus of Shanghai University of Science and Technology and Tongji University form a science and innovation cluster.
Railway line 11 and Hujia Expressway form a convenient transportation network, and it is about 30 minutes' drive from Hongqiao Transportation Hub. The area has ecological spaces such as Yuanxiang Lake and Jiabei Country Park, and has been continuously awarded as a national civilized urban area, forming a new modern city model of "science and technology + ecology + humanity".
