Majalenka is a city in West Java, Indonesia, located about 60 kilometers north of Jakarta, and is an important part of the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Area. The city is known for its textile and garment manufacturing industry, and with its many small and medium-sized factories, it is one of Indonesia's important industrial bases. With a population of about 300,000, Majalenka is multicultural, with a predominantly Sundanese population, while retaining traditional Javanese cultural features. Conveniently connected to Jakarta by highway, the city has seen a gradual development of commercial and residential areas in recent years as the expansion of the metropolitan area has attracted some investment and population influx. Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
