Miani (Mianwali) is a city in the northwestern province of Punjab, Pakistan, strategically located at the crossroads of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh. As the administrative center of the Meeni District, the area has a long history dating back to the ancient Indian civilization, incorporating multicultural features. The economy of the district is based on agriculture and is one of the important food producing areas of Punjab with wheat, cotton and sugarcane.
