Mercer is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, located in the southeastern part of the Salt Lake Valley, in the heart of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, about 10 minutes from downtown Salt Lake. As the fifth most populous city in Utah, Mercer is home to approximately 52,000 residents and is known for its livable environment and diverse economy. Baode County is located in the northwestern part of China's Shanxi Province, under Xinzhou City, on the east bank of the middle reaches of the Yellow River, across the river from Fugu County in Shaanxi Province. The county has a long history and is an important cultural node in the Yellow River Basin.
