Macka is a mountainous town in Trabzon Province, Turkey, located in the northeastern part of the Black Sea region. It is situated in a gorge about 300 meters above sea level and is surrounded by dense forests and waterfalls in a beautiful natural landscape. Machka is famous for the Somera Monastery, an Orthodox monastery built in the 4th century and carved into the cliffs, which is an important historical monument and pilgrimage site. The local economy is dependent on agriculture, producing mainly tea, hazelnuts and honey. The climate is mild and rainy, suitable for hiking and eco-tourism. The population is about 15,000, mostly Turkish, and retains a traditional Black Sea culture.
Moroni, Comoros is the capital and largest city of the Union of Comoros, located in the western part of the Indian Ocean on the west coast of the island of Grand Comoros.
