Lushan County is located in the west-central part of Henan Province, at the eastern foot of the Funiu Mountains, and belongs to the city of Pingdingshan, which is a bright pearl in the western part of Henan Province. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger.
