Located in the southwestern part of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province, China, Luqu County is situated on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, with an average altitude of about 3,500 meters. The area is famous for its plateau meadows and wetland ecosystems, and is an important water source for the upper reaches of the Yellow River. Luqu is rich in Tibetan culture and natural landscapes, such as Gahai Lake, a national nature reserve, and Zeche Stone Forest, which attracts ecotourism and photography enthusiasts.
