Located in the western part of Henan Province and the middle reaches of the Yellow River, Luoyang is one of the first batch of historical and cultural cities and famous ancient capitals announced by the State Council, known as the ancient capital of the Thirteen Dynasties, with thirteen dynasties, such as the Xia, Shang, Western Zhou, Eastern Zhou, Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Wei, Western Jin Dynasty, Northern Wei Dynasty, Sui Dynasty, and Tang Dynasty, establishing their capitals here, which has lasted for more than 1,500 years. It is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, the eastern starting point of the Silk Road, and has a profound cultural heritage. The Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple, Guanlin and other world cultural heritages and national cultural relics protection units are dotted here and there, among which the Longmen Grottoes are regarded as "the highest peak of stone carving art in China". Luoyang peonies are graceful and elegant, "Luoyang peonies are the best in the world", and the Peony Cultural Festival held in April every year attracts tourists from all over the world. Nowadays, Luoyang is continuing to write a brilliant chapter in the new era with the new posture of "the vice-center city of the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration", blending historical heritage with modern vitality.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
