Luolong District is the core urban area of Luoyang City, Henan Province, China, strategically located in the Central Plains Economic Zone and is the political, economic and cultural center of Luoyang City. With a total area of about 240 square kilometers and a population of about 700,000, the district is known for its blend of modern urban style and deep historical heritage.
As the hinterland of Luoyang, the ancient capital of the 13th Dynasty, Luolong District is home to important cultural heritages such as the ruins of Sui and Tang Dynasty Luoyang City and the Ding Ding Gate Museum. The Longmen Grottoes (a World Heritage Site) in the area are only a few kilometers away, witnessing the pinnacle of Buddhist art and stone carving techniques in ancient China.
Luolong District is now the core carrying area of Luoyang Free Trade Zone, focusing on high-end equipment manufacturing, information technology, modern service industry and other industries. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts.
